This love story is a full fictional one. It’s sad but true that this story is inspired by Nicholas Spark’s sister named Danielle, who later died because of Cancer. Few parts or chapters of the story are based on real experiences. Just like Jamie, Danielle was never so popular in her school, always wore an ugly sweater and always holding a Bible in her arms.
                                             It is the story of two teenagers named Jamie Sullivan & London Carter who falls in love with each other, despite of their unlike behaviors .Jamie is a calm & simple girl. She is the daughter of a widowed father. London Carter is the son of a rich man.
                                             Story starts that time when London’s prank on a student goes wrong and that student gets hospitalized. As a punishment London forced to participate in after-school community service activities which include starring as the lead in the school play, where he meets Jamie who is also participating in these activities.
                                During the play he asks Jamie for help and starts practicing together at her house after their classes. During the play London feels a strong feeling for Jamie, something he did not expect to do. Afterwards, he tries to get closer to her, but she repeatedly rejects him.
                                Soon after so many incidences Landon and Jamie start a relationship in which he dedicates most of his time to her. London discovers that she has a wish-list to do, and now he sets out to make all her wishes come true.
                                        At the final stage of novel Jamie discloses that she is a patient of Terminal Leukemia & has stopped responding to treatments. London gets upset and cried on her situation. Jamie’s cancer gets worse so her father rushes her to hospital, Where London doesn’t leave her side even for a single second.
                                            In the hospital London continues to fulfill all the wishes of Jamie’s wish – list. He is finally able to fulfill her top wish by marrying her. After that they spend a summer together with more love than anybody could possibly know and that soon after she died.
                                       Four years later Landon meets his father in law and informs that he is now a better person because of Jamie and now he has been accepted into medical college.Prior to falling in love with Jamie, he had no plans for his future after high school. Jamie changed him forever.
He believes that  “ their love is like the wind. He can't see it, but he can feel it .”

The story starts in a nursing home where an elderly man narrates a love story to a female patient. The story is about a young couple who fall in love during early 1940’s. The story begins when a country boy Noah Calhoun meet a girl Allie Hamilton in the south at a carnival and is immediately smitten. The young couple spends a beautiful summer together but Allie is forced to move and go to college although she was willing to give it up for Noah. Noah got devastated by his separation from Allie.He writes her one letter a day for a year without reply, as Allie's mother hides the letters from her. Allie continues to attend school, while Noah enlists to fight in World War II. Allie becomes a volunteer in a hospital for wounded soldiers, where she meets an officer named Lon. To the delight of Allie’s parents the two become engaged. While trying on her wedding dress Noah’s picture in a local newspaper catches her eye where he is standing in front of a fully restored, 200 year old home. Allie’s heart bursts. The last time when she saw this house it was a rotten decaying, where she was in his arms and listened to his plans to buy and restore this house. Just the way she wanted. The picture pulls her heart. She returns to Noah to tell him about her marriage.
In the present it made clear the female patient is Allie suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. The person who reads the story is none other than her husband and her love Noah. She neither recognizes her husband nor her grandchildren’s.
She has to be sedated by physician. Noah breaks down after seeing her condition. Next day he found unresponsive on his bed and rushed to hospital. Later he returns to the nursing home’s intense care ward. Later that night he enters to Allie’s room and Allie remembers again. Allie questions his lover about when she won’t be able to remember anything; he answers her that he’ll never leave her. Again she asks him if he thinks their love for each other is strong enough to 'take them away together’. He says that he thinks their love could do anything. After telling each other they make love and go to sleep in Allie’s bed. The next morning a nurse finds them on that bed having both died in each other’s arms.

Aahhh it was a painful end of a legendary love story.
